On Thursday, April 28, 2022, Arnold E. Chapman, aka Chappy, loving father of two children, passed away at the age of 81.
Chappy was born on October 21, 1940, in Greenwich, Connecticut to Malcolm and Jessie Chapman. He was a retired Air Force veteran and served his country for 25 Years. On October 24, 1964. he married Helen Flakes. They raised two sons, Danny and Stephen. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle.
Chappy had a passion for people, he loved to talk. He also was a collector and avid music lover, which started at the early age of fifteen with a singing group called, The Kords. His service career took him all over the world. He never met a stranger. He was known for his wit, his infectious laughter, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
Chappy was preceded in death by his father, Malcolm, his mother, Jessie, and his brother Eddie. He is survived by his two children, Danny and Stephen, his two sisters, Diane and Deborah, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Redlands Chapel, 2235 Kingston Road, Grand Junction, Colorado, on Saturday, May 7th at 10:00 AM.
