David Carl Welch

David Welch, 74, of Fruita passed away on September 5, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. He is survived by his wife Susan Welch, his two children; Denise Welch and Matthew Welch, his grandchildren; Thomas Barbera, Brandi Church, Mekennzie Welch, and Breanna Welch, his sister Paula Kleinands along with his nieces and nephews. David is proceeded in death by his parents; Roy Carl Welch and Gertrude Mae Welch; his two brothers Don Welch and Dale Welch and one niece Pamela Gentert. Surely a wonderful reunion for them all. David was born on June 14, 1945 and married on July 24, 1965. David spent his life traveling the country as an owner/operator. He loved his Peterbilt trucks throughout the years and often joked about being buried with one. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and John Deere tractors. David was known for his humor and countless stories of his life experiences. There will not be any services following his cremation as the family is holding a private memorial ceremony.
