Eric William Madsen, beloved husband of Roxanna Dawn Ball and father of 11 beautiful children, sadly left our world on July 24, 2024, at the age of 72. He was surrounded by loving family and friends in his final moments. He had endured so much with his health over the past 10 years, miraculously surviving multiple heart surgeries, kidney dialysis, cancer, etc. It was now his time to return to Heaven and reunite with his parents, Jack Enoch Madsen, Jr & Vivien Brooksby Madsen, as well as many other loved ones.
Eric was born November 25, 1951, the third of four siblings. He lived a very full and incredible life.
Growing up in West Covina, California he enjoyed many weekends on the beach; the family spent lots of time together at Huntington Beach. Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm were close by, so when company visited we’d often get to go there. Eric had 15 aunts and uncles, as well as about 75 first cousins; half of them lived nearby so we enjoyed lots of good times getting together. All family vacations were spent waterskiing, fishing and exploring at various lakes in the West. There were few better waterskiers than Eric; he even skied barefoot - a true joy to watch! He was 6’ 6” and fast, yet so graceful on the water. He also enjoyed & excelled at snow skiing.
Eric graduated from Covina High School, then attended college at Mt. San Antonio College, leaving at age 19 to serve a 2-year mission in Finland for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
After his return, he attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Eric met and married Anna Denise Thomson and had 2 wonderful children with her. They divorced in 1977. On March 22, 1986, Eric married the love of his life, Roxanna Dawn Ball, in the Los Angeles Temple and together they had 9 amazing children.
Eric was highly intelligent; had a photographic memory (so he knew something about everything); excelled with computers; enjoyed wood-working and mechanics; and could do anything he set his mind to. One of his interesting accomplishments was helping his dad build 2 different speed boats that later ended up on the cover of Hot Boats Magazine.
Eric started multiple businesses. He was Founder & CEO of Advanced Technology Micro Systems and CEO/Master Trainer at Uplink. He was also a therapist doing personal private neural linguistic programming at Change Works.
Eric had an incredibly strong ‘constitution’ so it’s not surprising that one of his major passions was learning and studying Constitutional Law. He eventually became Founding Trustee of Team Law.
Some fun facts about Eric:
•He was chosen to be on the Olympic exhibition team for waterskiing but they eliminated waterskiing from the Olympics before he performed

•He fought pirates and witches
•He has no right thumb but can beat anyone in a thumb war
•He was awarded an honorary Doctorate
•He was both the Governor and Senator of the Republic of Colorado

Eric was a very spiritual man who loved the Lord. He and Roxanna raised their children in the gospel of Jesus Christ, teaching them strong morals and values, and to love others.
He is survived by his beautiful bride, Roxanna as well as his 11 children and 26 grandchildren who he was so proud of and loved so much:
