Gail Kincaid Obituary

Gail “Dean” Kincaid was the fourth child of Walter Anderson and Bessie Odam-Moore, born September 5, 1955, in Portland, OR. Dean spent most of his life, including his childhood, moving around the country and spent most of his time between Oregon, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico. Dean married Jennie Finley on February 21, 1975, and they had one child, Deana Gail Kincaid, on September 23, 1976. They have since divorced, and Dean moved to Las Vegas, NV, where he started his career in the casino business, dealing blackjack and craps.

Dean loved creating art and, through the years, mastered the mediums of acrylic painting, watercolor painting, pencil drawing, wood burning, carving, and colored pencil drawing. He also enjoyed working on home improvement projects, golf, disc golf, riding dirt bikes, jigsaw puzzles, rock hunting, and studying extraterrestrial activities.

Dean is survived by his daughter, Deana (James) Williams of Rifle, CO, grandson Jordan (Robee) Williams of Fall River Mills, CA, granddaughter Baylee Williams of Grand Junction, CO, step-daughter Heather (Rob) Preston of Las Vegas, NV, sister Carrie (Mike) Zunich of Nucla, CO, brother Lyn (Teresa) Kincaid of Colton, OR, best friend Jennie Finley of Grand Junction, CO and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dean is preceded in death by his brother, Lee Anderson, his mother, Bessie Moore, and his aunt, Faith Karn.

Dean passed away peacefully at the HopeWest Hospice Facility on the morning of August 17, 2024. His passing was comfortable, thanks to the staff at HopeWest.
