Joan Ellen Crowley

Joan Ellen Crowley, 74, peacefully passed away on June 22, 2024, in Grand Junction, CO; with her daughter and brother by her side. Joan was the daughter of Joseph and Marcia (Sickels) Crowley. of Boston, MA. She was born in California, and raised in Wayland, Massachusetts. After attending Wayland High School, she graduated from Colby Junior College, and had a successful career, as a marketing executive, based in Boston, New York City, and the Washington DC area. In recent years, Joan made her home in Lewes, Delaware, where she loved hosting friends & family, at the beach.

Joan’s truest gift was her unwavering ability to share her compassion. She loved her family & friends fiercely, and would do anything in her power to show up for others. Her selflessness touched the hearts of all who knew her, leaving a legacy of kindness & love, that will forever be remembered.

Joan leaves behind her beloved daughter, Caitlin James, son-in-law Preston, two grandsons, Rowan and Fox, all of Palisade, CO, and three loving brothers, Stephen of Burlington, VT, David of Leominster, MA and Peter of Manchester, VT. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces & nephews, and dozens of friends she collected over the years, who she considered her family. She now joins friends & family, including her granddaughter, Wren.
