Obituary

Robert Henry Kerbel, 87, of Alamosa, passed away on February 1st, 2022, at the Orchard Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center, Palisade, CO.

Funeral services will be held 1:00pm, Thursday, February 10th, at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Fort Collins.

Robert was born in Fort Collins to Henry & Lydia Kerbel on 8/8/1934.  He graduated Salutatorian from Cache La Poudre HS, in 1952. He married Jane Metcalf, on 6/7/1956, in Fort Collins. He worked at Woodward Governor for 16 yrs. Then moved to Bailey to work for Colorado Department of Transportation for 31years. He resided in Alamosa from1978-2019. Then in Carbondale with his son. He was involved in the Alamosa Senior Center, and many churches through the years. He enjoyed the outdoors, and after retiring spent many winters in Quartzite, AZ.

Robert is preceded in death by wife, Jane Kerbel, siblings, Clarence, Vivian, Dorothy, and Betty Ann. 

Robert is survived by his sons, Gregory, wife, Tammy, & Jeffery, wife, Andria, grandchildren, Michael, Mathew, Tanith, & Emily, great-grandchildren, Christopher, Tilden, Atlee, & Trent, and cousin, Shirley Weitzel.
