Russell "Curtis" Roy, 62, of Grand Junction passed away unexpectedly on May 24, 2022. Curtis was born November 21, 1959, in Alburquerque, New Mexico to Deanna Faye & William Oliver Roy. He graduated in 1978 from Central High School. Curtis married Teresa Hofferber in 1980. They had 2 children, Adrienne & Justin. Curtis worked as an underground coal miner for several years before moving to Alaska in 1996, where he began his career as a mechanic, a skill he mastered as a young teen. Curtis returned to Grand Junction in 2008. His family, the family farm, hunting, building cars, car shows, gun shows & friends are the things he enjoyed the most. Curtis is proceeded in death by his mother, Deanna, father, William "Bill", and his brother William "Randy". Curtis left behind his wife, Nikki Ferguson, his 2 children, Adrienne and Justin, stepdaughter, Nakita ( William) Begaye, 9 grandchildren, sister Karen (Ward) Quarles, 2 nieces, and 1 nephew. A private viewing and visitation will be held.
