Timothy Leasure Obituary

Tim Leasure, also known as Colonel Sanders, KFC, and Chicken Man, 76, passed away at his home on May 3, 2023. He was born April 16, 1947 in Alamosa, Colorado. The son of Reverend Paul and Virginia Leasure. 
Tim graduated from Palisade High School, class of 1965. Following graduation, he moved to Texas and attended Delmar Tech. He married the love of his life, Linda Pritchard, and they settled in Palisade, Colorado. They celebrated 52 years of marriage in November. 
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brother, Rick and granddaughter Rachel. Surviving in addition to his wife, Linda, his daughter, Laurie Wear and her husband Steve, son, Eddie Leasure and his wife Tiffany, and son Derrick Leasure and his wife Melany. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, Cord Wear, Grace (Andie) Wear, Tim Wear, Aaron Wear, Jenna Leasure, Beau Leasure, Isaac (Magoo) Leasure, Kenzie Leasure, Addie Leasure, Kyle Leasure and Austin Leasure. As well as two great grandchildren, Embre Leasure and Nelly Leasure; three brothers, Lon, Randy and Dave; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Tim was a deacon at Grace Baptist Church. He retired as an electrician in 2013. Tim's love of his family was only matched by his distain of Bisquick. He enjoyed fishing with his brothers and coffee with friends. He delighted in watching Western movies and creating decorative pieces with antlers. He shared a love of cars with his sons and many of his grandchildren; as well as explaining spark plugs. Bantering with his family gave him a lot of pleasure. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. Services will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Grace Baptist Church in Palisade at 11am with burial to immediately follow at Palisade Cemetery.
